The Black Crowes’ June 20 concert at The Prudential Center in Newark has been cancelled. I have not been able to confirm a reason for the cancellation, but if I do, I will add it here.
According to a message on the Ticketmaster website, “We’ll issue a refund to the original method of payment used at time of purchase, as soon as funds are received from the Event Organizer. It should appear on your account within 14-21 days.
“Please Note: If the tickets were transferred to you, the refund will go to the fan who originally purchased the tickets from Ticketmaster.”
There is no indication that the only other New Jersey show on the band’s current tour, June 12 at The Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, will be cancelled as well. Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com.

my guess is low ticket sales?
I would assume so. This is an amphitheater tour, not an arena tour. An arena booking is a bit of a stretch at this point in band’s career.
It’s musicians playing politics play and simple. It’s ok in the lyrics but leave the comments for the magazines. Both the Stones and Duran are left leaning but they dont preach about it. After it’s constantly shoved down our throats from every angle by the media no one wants to spend money to hear another political speech. Not sure why these artists can’t get this equation right. Black Crows rock live though!
The stones talk politics during their shows. Not every show but they’ll speak up. I don’t know who Duran is.
