Brian and the Boss: Springsteen joins Wilson at PNC Bank Arts Center (with video)

Bruce Springsteen has won 20 Grammy Awards over the years.

Brian Wilson fans got an unexpected treat at the Beach Boy’s concert at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, Wednesday night, when Bruce Springsteen joined him during the show’s encores.

The YouTube video below shows The Boss singing on “Barbara Ann” and singing and playing guitar on “Surfin’ USA.”

In 2007, Springsteen played guitar on “Barbara Ann” and sang on “Love and Mercy” at a Wilson concert at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank.

While Wilson’s greatest accomplishments are as a Beach Boys co-founder and the band’s leader during its glory days, he has been a solo act for most of the past few decades. Paul Dano and John Cusack play him at different stages of his life in the movie “Love and Mercy,” which was released last month.
