Schedule announced for Hoboken Arts and Music Festival

The Smithereens will make a rare daytime appearance at the annual Fall Hoboken Arts and Music Festival, taking place Sept. 30 on Washington Street in downtown Hoboken.

As previously announced, The Smithereens, with Marshall Crenshaw handling lead vocals in place of the late Pat DiNizio, will headline the free festival, and other performers will include Joe Grushecky & the Houserockers, Máxima Alerta, and the Zydeco Revelators. The full schedule, though, has recently been announced, so here it is:

MAIN STAGE, at Observer Highway
Noon: The Zydeco Revelators
1:10 p.m.: RocknRoll Hi-Fives
2:50 p.m.: Joe Grushecky & the Houserockers
4:30 p.m.: The Smithereens with Marshall Crenshaw

SEVENTH STREET STAGE
12:20 p.m.: Elevator Pitch
12:50 p.m.: North River Sing Community Chorus
1:40 p.m.: The Sensational Country Blues Wonders
2:40 p.m.: Emily & the Ideals
3:45 p.m.: Sylvana Joyce + the Moment
5 p.m.: Máxima Alerta

THIRD STREET STAGE
11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.: Kid Notes with Chrissy Roberts & Ralph Capasso
1:30 p.m.: Songs for Seeds
2:30 and 3:15 p.m.: One of the Rockness Monsters
4 p.m.: Garden Street School of the Performing Arts (students and teachers)

The festival will also feature children’s activities, and more than 200 artists, crafters, photographers, food vendors and local restaurants and businesses.
