The Smithereens (featuring Marshall Crenshaw on lead vocals), Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers and The RocknRoll Hi-Fives will be among the performers at the annual Hoboken Fall Arts & Music Festival, taking place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 30 on Washington Street (between Seventh Street and the Observer Highway) in downtown Hoboken. There will be no admission charge.

Other performers will include Sylvana Joyce & the Moment, the Sensational Country Blues Wonders, Maxima Alerta and the Zydeco Revelators. There will be three stages, including one for children’s entertainers, and more than 200 vendors (arts, crafts, food, etc.) will line Washington Street.

Original Smithereens frontman Pat DiNizio died in December. Since then, surviving members Jim Babjak (guitar), Dennis Diken (drums) and Mike Mesaros (bass) have occasionally performed with other vocalists, including Robin Wilson (of The Gin Blossoms) and Crenshaw.
