NJPAC online interview series to feature Anthony Hamilton, Redman, Deniece Williams

The “NJPAC Backstage” series, which has been offering online interviews throughout the pandemic, will continue with interviews by Latoya Dawson with neo-soul singer-songwriter Anthony Hamilton, Feb. 18; rapper and actor Redman, Feb. 25; and pop and gospel singer Deniece Williams, March 4. All the interviews will begin at 7 p.m. on Facebook.com/NJPAC.

According to a press release, the interviewees will “share their intimate stories of performing and how they are coping during this pandemic.”

The videos in this series are also archived on YouTube, here. Interviews currently available on this page include New Power Generation (Prince’s backing band); Dupré “DoItAll” Kelly of Lords of the Underground; Angela Johnson; Frankie Negron; Kurtis Blow; Capone (of Capone-n-Noreaga) and hip-hop educator Larry “Lak” Henderson; Shawnna; Samara Joy McLendon; Laurin Talese; and Quiana Lynell.
